HOW TO DO A QUIZ REVISION

Quiz Revisions can significantly increase your grade because they work just like extra credit. By correctly doing a Quiz Revision, you can receive back half of all the points you missed on the original quiz.

Remember, you can do a quiz revision no matter what you scored on your quiz (whether you missed 1 point or 100 points!) and you can revise the extra credit problem too!

Here are the steps to doing a Quiz Revision:

  • Use a clean sheet of notebook paper. Put a heading on it and title it "Quiz Revision".

  • Revise each problem that you lost points on by... solving the problem correctly and showing all of your work.

  • Explain what you should have done to solve the problem correctly and why.

  • If you still do not know how to correctly solve a problem, ask someone for help!

  • Turn in the revision stapled to the original quiz on the due date.

    Some additional tips:

  • Do the revision as soon as possible, that way you won't forget how to do the work on the quiz.

  • Focus on understanding the mistakes you made, that's the whole reason for doing a Quiz Revision!

  • Make sure that your revised answers are correct! Check them with a tutor, parent, family member, and/or classmate.

  • Or do the revision with a parent or tutor, then you can be sure that you are doing it correctly!
